Vicdeaf - Victorian Bushfire Information for Deaf and hard of hearing people

Victorian Bushfire Information for Deaf and hard of hearing people

Vicdeaf are continuing to support the Deaf and hard of hearing affected by the bushfires in any way they can. We have met with MFB and are working with CFA and the Office of the Emergency Services to try and make sure Deaf and hard of hearing people have access to services and information.

Interpreting

Community meetings are held regularly in areas where bushfire is threatening communities. Vicdeaf is providing interpreters at these meetings; if you are living in an area where bushfire is close and you need an interpreter, please contact us to make sure you can access information through an interpreter. Vicdeaf are providing this service free so there is no delay or debate about who needs to pay. Also if you have been affected by the bushfires and require an interpreter, call Vicdeaf.
