SensWide is the employment division of Vicdeaf. It is funded by the federal government to help job seekers who are Deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, vision impaired or blind to find and keep a job. SensWide provides employment support to jobseekers living in the Melbourne Metropolitan area. It has two offices: one in the Melbourne CBD and another in Frankston.
SensWide has four Employment Consultants who are fluent in Auslan; they can help with writing application letters, attending job interviews, contacting potential employers and more.
SensWide can provide Auslan interpreters for job interviews and job training, and can apply for funding for equipment (eg TTYs, paging systems) that will help our clients to do their jobs.
