A Top Deaf Australian Runner is coming to Melbourne to try out for Commonwealth Games – Thurs 10 December

Come and support Melinda Vernon, a Deaflympian at Commonwealth Games Trials tomorrow on Thursday 10th December 2009 at Olympic Park.
Melinda Vernon, Dual Gold Medalist and Deaf World Record holder at the recent Taiwan Deaflympics, has gained entry into a prestigious running race here in Melbourne. She will be aiming to qualify for the Commonwealth Games! The race is also the women’s 10,000m Australian Championships. It will be a hugely competitive field, so come and support Melinda!
Date: Thursday 10th December
Time: Event starts from 7pm, Melinda’s run approx 8pm (subject to scheduling changes)
Where: Olympic Park, Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne (Melway Ref: 2G C9)
Tickets: $15 at the gate on the night, $5 juniors 5-15yo, under 5 free, family of 2 adult 2 junior $30
